ON THE STAUNTON HAROLD ESTATE

Our welding courses are open to anyone with an interest in welding and metal work.

Learners will be given the opportunity to gain and experience basic and advanced skills.

In each course you will obtain all necessary skills to produce a magnificent creation to proudly take home.

Our workshop is located on the Staunton Harold estate and a stone throw away from our store.

Sessions usually take place in a morning and mostly on a 1-1 basis.

AT DERBY COLLEGE - THE ROUNDHOUSE

Metal Manipulation is pleased to announce we have partnered with Derbyshire College - the roundhouse. We can now deliver some of our popular courses to a wider audience in this fabulous building with a state of the art welding workshop.Our courses have previously always been taught on a 1-1 basis because of limited space and time at MM HQ, but now we can teach more learners in this great setting and at different times and dates.

Welding Courses at Derby College.

Our welding courses at derby college will run on Tuesday evenings from 5pm-8pm. We will be introducing our Taster courses later this year and our advanced and advanced plus courses will follow in the coming months. please click on the DCG link above for more information.

Our Courses

Taster Course

Our welding taster courses are designed to introduce you to the world of fabrication and welding.

Learners will be given the opportunity to learn the basic skills of metal joining and to make and take home a stunning garden ornament.

In this course the learner will use a variety of different thicknesses and processes to join these materials.

Due to the nature of the course we will only be running this on a 1-1 basis to ensure you get the absolute most from this experience.

Advanced Course

Our advanced course is designed for those that have already completed the taster and to build upon those skills and techniques learnt previously. Here learners will be given even more opportunities to use a variety of different tools to cut, grind and weld steel also furthering your knowledge of metal joining.

There will be a selection of projects to choose from that you can proudly take home.

Again due to the nature of the course we will only be running this on a 1-1 basis to ensure you get the absolute most from this experience.

Our advanced plus course is designed for those that have already completed the taster and advanced course and want to take their skills further. In this course we can tailor the course around a project or area the learner wishes to gain more knowledge in.

There will be a selection of projects to choose from that you can proudly take home.

I absolutely loved my session this morning. A brilliant workshop that was compleatly hands on and Leigh is a skilled and patient teacher. If you ever fancied having a go at welding this is the place to do it.
